Postponement of the 23rd edition of the Gnaoua Festival in Essaouira

The “Essaouira Gnaoua World Music Festival” announced the postponement of its twenty-third session, and linked the announcement of new schedules to organize its activities with the “improvement in the situation” which today defines the spread of the new Corona virus.

The festival stressed, in a communiqué, that its priority is the health and safety of the artists, festival teams, and the general public, adding: “We are in solidarity with all measures to limit the spread of the Covid-19 virus.”

The "Gnaoua Festival" also indicated that it thinks about the victims, and all those who struggle against the disease in Morocco and in Essaouira city and across the world.

The festival praised the efforts of the Moroccan public authorities, and the efforts to preserve the health and security of citizens and families, and wished everyone and their loved ones "courage and good health."
